## Professional Opportunity: Electrical Technician
As part of our commitment to maintaining world-class operational standards, PT Pertamina Training & Consulting is currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Electrical Technician to join our team in Balikpapan. This role is pivotal in ensuring the integrity and efficiency of our electrical infrastructure.
Core Responsibilities
The selected candidate will be responsible for upholding the highest safety and performance standards within refinery operations:
* Conducting commissioning, start-up, inspection, troubleshooting, and maintenance of refinery-based electrical systems.
* Performing detailed diagnostics on motors, panels, MCC units, switchgear, transformers, cabling, lighting, and grounding systems.
* Executing preventive and corrective maintenance tasks in strict accordance with maintenance schedules and work orders.
* Identifying electrical abnormalities and providing actionable recommendations to Supervisors and Engineers.
* Ensuring all technical activities—including the reading of Single Line Diagrams (SLD) and wiring diagrams—are performed in compliance with SOPs, Permit to Work protocols, and HSSE regulations.
* Maintaining accurate documentation of equipment status and troubleshooting results.
Essential Qualifications
To be considered for this position, applicants must meet the following criteria:
* Indonesian citizenship (WNI).
* Minimum education requirement of SMA/SMK.
* Proven experience in electrical equipment maintenance for at least 3 years.
* Proficiency in coupling and uncoupling electric motor gearboxes.
* Expertise in using specialized electrical diagnostic and measuring equipment.
* Ability to perform precise, rapid, and safe electrical troubleshooting.
* Capability to interpret complex electrical drawings and Single Line Diagrams.
* Solid fundamental knowledge of industrial electrical components.
* Current residency in Balikpapan or the surrounding area.
* Willingness to serve as a Contract Worker (Tenaga Alih Daya/TAD).
